Sweet

In west Philadelphia
born and raised
on the playground my momma said
most of my days
chilling out, maxing
and relaxing all cool
and all shooting some b-ball
outside of school
when a couple of guys
they were up to no good
started making trouble in our neighborhood
i got in one little fight and my mom got scared
she said your moving
in with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air

i whisted for a cab and when it came near
the license plate said fresh
and had dice in the mirror
if anything i could say that this cab was rare
but i thought nah, forget it
yo home to bel-air!

i-pulled- up tp a house about seven or eight
i yelled to the cabbie yo home, smell you later
looked at my kingdom i was finally there
to sit on my throne as the prince of bel-air

Lublub194 responds:

Pretty sure I'm gonna do that song sometime.

Review

This reminds me of the music from the old Rayman game for the PS1. NOSTALGIA FTW.

I love the rain effects that start the song out. The piano is great as always. That drums sounds a bit weird and there's a little bit of the machine-gun effect due it being only one sample. The strings are really great (as usual once again). I especially like the melody of this song. It makes me think of a dark castle in a storm or something. The choir sounds nice and realistic.

The structure of this song is very nice. It never gets boring or repetitive, and the transitions are well done and keep the storm flowing.

Overall, this is probably my favorite song of yours so far :D

It's funny, I was actually going to do a remake of this classic song, but more rock oriented. I love the intro, with the rain fading out into the music. That was a great start to a great song. The piano, while repetitive worked well for me - I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't know if that was a kick-drum, or lightning in the background during most of the sound, but it was a nice little addition. It really filled out the song. Overall, the song was an outstanding remake that I could imagine in a film version of the series. I would've liked to see a few areas, though, that had more filled out sound... Great job, man!

As for the song I would like you to listen to, and give me your thoughts on, would be 'Cybor.G'. I have it classified as ambient, but it's sound is so different that I could've also classified it as Trance, or Industrial.

Once again, great song. Can't wait to hear some morestuff from you!

Nice piano throughout and a very interesting introduction, that put me in the mind of Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence.

The piano could have stood to do a lot more, with the simple loop repeating almost ad infinitum. With the way that it progresses, you've got a good range ofg instruments that get themselves into the tune, but the piano is the main stumbling block. More things with the piano sooner would certainly help the track to sound much improved.

A nice almost requiem-like string backing, which could possibly take it further than you have at present.

I don't know the original, but I guess it's from one of the many Zelda games, right?

Anyway, I think this sounds pretty awesome. Especially the strings together with the piano create a very nice atmosphere. Together with the added rain and storm effects I get the feeling that I'm sitting in my warm home with a cup of hot chocolate (or tea) while outside it is storming and raining (which it has a lot in the last few days where I live ^^).

Oh, and I wouldn't bother with reviewing my audio submissions, they aren't very good at all (and one of them is a "cover" of John Cages "4'33"", so there can't be heard anything in the first place. ^^).

Way to copy some reviews.

but not a bad start.

Lublub194 responds:

I'd love someone to do the lyrics.

Tempo is where it is. I want it to be a hip hop/techno. So. Like it or not.

Short review.

Short review is short.
